Pochettino: PSG have always had a special place in my heart

Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his gratitude towards Paris Saint-Germain after being officially presented as their new coach on Saturday.

After stressing how important PSG are for him, the former Tottenham Hotspur tactician also revealed which football mentality he and his staff are hoping to impose on the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

“I am very happy and honoured to become Paris Saint-Germain‘s new coach,” Pochettino told PSG’s official website.

“I thank the club officials for the trust they have placed in me. As you know, this club have always held a special place in my heart. I have wonderful memories, especially the unique atmosphere of the Parc des Princes.

“At the same time, I look forward to working with some of the most talented players in the world. This team has fantastic potential and I will do my best with my staff to get the best results in all competitions.
