Chelsea make Dusan Vlahovic transfer enquiry as Juventus set minimum price tag for star striker

Chelsea have expressed interest in Dusan Vlahovic and have approached Juventus regarding his availability. Juventus has set a minimum price for the Serbian forward.

  • Chelsea is currently looking for a forward and has made inquiries about Vlahovic.
  • Juventus put a price tag of €75-80m

Chelsea are looking to strengthen their attack following the departure of Kai Havertz to Arsenal. They have identified Vlahovic as their top target and have made an initial approach to his representatives. Juventus, however, believe that Vlahovic is not available for transfer, unless an offer of approximately €75-80 million plus bonuses is made.

According to a report in Corriere dello Sport, Juventus is willing to lower their demands to €25m (£21m) if Chelsea includes Romaleu Lukaku in a swap deal. Lukaku, who struggled with injuries last season, scored 14 goals for Juventus across all competitions.

Chelsea have started discussions with Montpellier for Elye Wahi, who had a remarkable record of 19 goals in 33 league matches last season. This information is reported by the Evening Standard. However, the club has not yet reached a final decision on the third attacking option, as they have already acquired Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson earlier this summer.

WHAT NEXT? It looks like it will be another long summer for Chelsea in the transfer market as the Blues remain determined to get back their competitive edge under Mauricio Pochettino after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign. Apart from a quality striker, they are also keen to get Brighton’s Moises Caicedo in midfield.
