Southampton are reportedly seeking £50m for 19-year-old Romeo Lavia, while Chelsea is said to be monitoring his situation. Lavia, who joined Southampton from Manchester City last year, has four years remaining on his contract.
Southampton has turned down an offer of £40m from Liverpool for 19-year-old midfielder Romeo Lavia. The Saints are holding out for a higher bid of £50m.
Lavia, a Belgium international, has four years remaining on his Southampton contract. Despite joining the team from Manchester City last year, he is likely to depart following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has recently signed two new midfielders in the summer transfer window: Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35m and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig for £60m.
The new signings have replaced departing midfielders and there is a possibility of key players leaving Anfield this summer.
Henderson and Fabinho are set to transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Liverpool has agreed to transfer Jordan Henderson to Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq for £15m, while Fabinho has been granted permission to negotiate with Al Ittihad following a £40m offer from the club.
