Rasmus Hojlund: Manchester United confident of signing Atalanta striker despite £43m bid from Paris St-Germain

Manchester United is hesitant to pay more than €60m for a 20-year-old player who desires a move to Old Trafford. Atalanta, the player’s current club, is looking for a fee of €70m plus €10m in add-ons, but negotiations are progressing towards a resolution. PSG’s €50m offer is unlikely to affect Manchester United as they are constrained by Financial Fair Play regulations. Additionally, Randal Kolo Muani is being regarded as an alternative option.

Manchester United is hopeful of securing a deal with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund, ensuring he has sufficient time to train with the team before the first game of the season against Wolves on August 14.

Atalanta’s 20-year-old player is interested in joining Manchester United, despite a discrepancy in valuation between the two clubs. Atalanta is asking for £59.8m (€70m) plus £8.5m (€10m) in add-ons.

Paris Saint-Germain has made a £43m bid for a player, but Manchester United remains steadfast in their approach despite interest from other clubs. The club has demonstrated its commitment to sticking to their budget for player transfers this summer, as shown by recent deals for Mason Mount and Andre Onana.

Manchester United has been hesitant to exceed a £51m (€60m) package for player transfers due to financial constraints and adherence to their price points.

Manchester United has a positive relationship with Serie A regarding negotiations for Amad Diallo. They have been in ongoing communication with the team to reach a compromise on the fee for Hojlund.

Both clubs are in agreement and moving forward.

United sees potential in Hojlund and believes that under Erik ten Hag’s coaching, he can develop into an elite player.

Manchester United may consider using Marcus Rashford as their main striker while new signing Hojlund settles in and develops. Hojlund is seen as a potential world-class talent for the team.

United is not required to sell players in order to buy Hojlund. They are relying on substantial sales during the summer and January transfer windows to maintain their financial stability.

The club is confident about completing a deal, but they are also considering Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt as an alternative option.

United have been actively pursuing Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus as a potential addition to their attack for the upcoming season, along with another target. They are aiming for a swift and efficient transfer process to avoid unnecessary delays.

PSG is interested in signing a striker and they believe they have a chance to acquire Harry Kane from Tottenham if he becomes available for transfer this summer.
