Nottingham Forest has made a bid for goalkeeper Matt Turner as he moves closer to leaving Arsenal.
The latest news indicates that Arsenal and Forest are in talks regarding the transfer of the American goalkeeper, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at Arsenal. Despite being the USA’s top goalkeeper, he has struggled to get playing time at Arsenal, making only seven appearances under Mikel Arteta last season.
Arsenal have made a £20m ($25.44m) + £3m ($3.82m) add-ons bid for David Raya from Brentford. However, it is likely to be rejected as Brentford values him at £40m ($50.88m).
The potential transfer of Raya to Arsenal could impact Turner’s position as the third-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates, with Ramsdale and the Spaniard ahead of him.
Turner potentially joining City Ground, possibly facing competition from Dean Henderson. Forest manager Steve Cooper seeks two quality keepers, and there are reports of a loan deal with an obligation to buy from The Red Devils.
