Liverpool bid around £16m for Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo; Reds also ‘in talks’ with Fiorentina about Sofyan Amrabat deal

Liverpool made a surprise move for 30-year-old midfielder and Japan international Endo. They are also reportedly in talks with Fiorentina regarding Sofyan Amrabat. However, Liverpool missed out on signing Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, with Chelsea securing their services.

Liverpool has made a surprising £16m bid for Wataru Endo, the Japanese international from Stuttgart. Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing in an experienced holding midfielder and Endo has been given permission to travel to Merseyside for a medical and complete the transfer.

A potential deal for the 30-year-old player could reach a fee of £21m, including bonuses.

Liverpool has reportedly been in talks with Fiorentina through intermediaries regarding the possible signing of Sofyan Amrabat. This comes after their unsuccessful pursuits of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Manchester United have shown interest in Moroccan international midfielder, Amrabat, as reported by Sky Sports News. Amrabat has previously worked with Erik ten Hag at FC Utrecht.

Manchester United’s chances of making significant signings in this transfer window are slim.

Liverpool’s focus in the summer transfer window has been on strengthening their midfield. They have made significant changes to their squad, letting go of several players and bringing in Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

Liverpool has missed out on signing Caicedo and Lavia, who have both opted to join Chelsea instead. Caicedo completed a £115m move to Stamford Bridge, while Lavia is currently undergoing a medical for a £58m transfer. Despite Liverpool agreeing to deals with both players, they were unable to secure their signatures and have now turned their attention to other targets.
