The Saudi Pro League is keen on acquiring Mohamed Salah from Liverpool for Al Ittihad. However, Liverpool is not willing to part ways with their star player and Jurgen Klopp has a limited time to find a replacement before the transfer window closes.
Liverpool have rejected a £150m bid for Mohamed Salah from Al Ittihad, but the Saudi Pro League side continues to pursue the acquisition.
Al Ittihad’s initial bid of £100m, which could rise to £150m, was rejected earlier on Deadline Day. However, they have not ruled out submitting an improved offer.
The football club Al Ittihad is reportedly willing to spend up to £200m, according to a source from Sky Sports News.
Liverpool remains firm in their stance that Salah is not available for transfer. However, there are reports suggesting that the Saudi club is receiving some positive signs that a potential deal could still be possible.
Al Ittihad will make another attempt, fueled by their encouragement.
Asked about the prospect of Salah leaving on Friday, Jurgen Klopp said: “The position remains the same, absolutely. No doubt about that. We cannot [sell Salah]. That’s how it is. Nothing else to say.”
The transfer window in the Saudi Pro League closes on September 7, giving clubs more time to make signings compared to the Premier League.
Liverpool forward Salah is being tempted by a lucrative offer from Al Ittihad, who are willing to pay him a staggering £1.5m per week. This move comes despite his agent previously ruling out a transfer.
Liverpool and the Saudi Pro League are aware that the club will not sell the Egypt forward, despite the interest shown.
The 31-year-old has remained professional amidst the ongoing controversy.
