The Glazers: Man Utd takeover bidders remain interested and not been told club has been taken off market

The Glazers, owners of Manchester United, are reportedly planning to temporarily take the club off the market and sell it in 2025 for a valuation of £7bn-£10bn. However, former player Gary Neville is skeptical about these plans.

Bidders interested in buying Manchester United are still hopeful for a takeover and believe the club is still available for sale.

The Glazers, owners of Manchester United, reportedly intend to withdraw the club from the market temporarily. They plan to sell it again in 2025, aiming for a valuation of £7bn-£10bn.

Merchant bank Raine and the overseers of the takeover talks have not been informed of any changes in the process.

The takeover process attracted only two serious bidders, Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but they failed to meet the Glazers’ £6 billion valuation.

The Glazers have never officially put the club up for sale, making it unlikely that they will sell.

Elliott Management, a US hedge fund, expressed interest in investing in the club, potentially allowing the Glazers to retain majority ownership.

The ownership of Manchester United by the Glazer family has been heavily criticized by fans, leading to ongoing protests and dissatisfaction with their control of the club.
