Sevilla have signed Sergio Ramos on a free transfer. One-year contract.

Spanish footballer Sergio Ramos has officially signed for Sevilla, returning to the club 18 years after his departure. The deal was completed quickly, with negotiations taking place against the clock as the Champions League registration deadline approached. Ramos, who was a free agent, is Sevilla’s ninth signing in the transfer market, with four of them being free transfers.

Sevilla failed to fulfill all of José Luis Mendilibar’s demands in the transfer window, particularly for a center back. They did sign Soumaré and Mariano in midfield and attack respectively but lacked an experienced defender. However, they have now managed to find a suitable player in Sergio.

Sergio, the footballer, has spent the summer rejecting proposals from Arab football clubs like Al Ittihad, Sevilla, Galatasaray, or MLS. However, he had always hoped for a call from Sevilla and eventually chose to reject better contracts and return home after 18 years.
