Antony from Manchester United denies allegations of attacking his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin. He confidently states that the accusations are false. The Greater Manchester Police are aware of the allegations and are conducting enquiries.
UOL published new allegations made by Gabriela Cavallin.
Antony released a statement on Instagram in June denying the accusations of domestic violence made against him by Ms Cavallin.
Antony stated on Monday that he has faith in ongoing police investigations to uncover the truth about his innocence, amidst additional allegations.
The club has chosen not to comment on the new allegations yet, and instead refers back to Antony’s initial statement made on June 28.
Antony has issued a second denial on social media.
The statement reads: “I can say with confidence that accusations are false and that the evidence already produced show that I am innocent of the accusations made.
“My relationship with Ms Gabriela was tumultuous, with verbal offences from both sides, but I never practiced any physical aggression.
“I trust that the ongoing police investigations will demonstrate the truth about my innocence.”
The Brazilian FA announced that Antony has been replaced by Gabriel Jesus for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
On Tuesday morning, Greater Manchester Police released a statement that said: “Greater Manchester Police is aware of the allegations made and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report. We will not be commenting any further at this time.”
