A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident involving Sky Sports pundits Roy Keane and Micah Richards at the Emirates Stadium.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly headbutting Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane after the Arsenal vs Manchester United match, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Social media footage captured the aftermath of the incident between Keane and Richards during the Arsenal vs Manchester United game.
Keane and Richards have both provided statements to the Metropolitan Police.
The Met Police had said earlier in a statement: “Police are investigating following an assault that is alleged to have occurred at the Emirates Stadium during an Arsenal vs Manchester United match on Sunday, September 3.
“There have been no arrests. Enquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses or those with information are asked to call 101 ref CAD 6961/3 Sept.”
A Sky Sports spokesperson said: “We understand the police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public immediately preceding the footage circulating on social media.
“In the footage seen, Micah Richards was acting to diffuse a situation.”
