Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has rubbished the idea that the Napoli star could join Real Madrid any time soon despite being a fan of the club.
Kvaratskhelia’s admiration for Los Blancos is well-known, and with Napoli and Real Madrid drawn in the same Champions League group this season, speculation about a potential transfer has resurfaced. However, in a recent interview with Calcio Napoli 24 (as reported by AS), the 22-year-old’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, firmly dismissed any such suggestions. He stated, “We don’t consider that. We don’t think about leaving Naples. When one day Kvara is ready to play in Madrid or Barça, we will analyze it.”
Supporting his son’s stance, Kvaratskhelia’s father, who happens to be a Barcelona fan, also commented, saying, “I want the fans to know that Khvicha does not want to change clubs and will give everything for Naples. We are very grateful.” This statement further emphasizes the player’s commitment to his current club.
Despite his young age, Kvaratskhelia has already made a name for himself in the football world, attracting interest from top clubs across Europe. In addition to Real Madrid, teams like Chelsea have also been reportedly monitoring his progress. The winger enjoyed a sensational debut season at Napoli, contributing with 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. Such impressive performances quickly established him as one of the most promising talents in European football.
Napoli, having clinched the Serie A title, were determined to retain their rising star and set a hefty price tag of €100 million (£87m/$97m) to ward off potential suitors. This valuation, coupled with Kvaratskhelia’s own desire to remain at Napoli and fulfill his potential with the club, provides a strong indication that any potential move to Real Madrid or other top clubs will not materialize in the foreseeable future.
As the young Georgian winger continues to develop his skills and showcase his talent on the European stage, football fans will eagerly await his future exploits, both in Naples and potentially on the international stage representing his country.
