Aaron Wan-Bissaka got hurt and will be out of action for around two months. This is bad news for Manchester United and their manager, Erik ten Hag.
Wan-Bissaka got injured during Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat against Brighton, even though he only played for a few minutes. He had been sick, which is why he didn’t start the match.
United said that Wan-Bissaka would be out for a few weeks, while a report in The Athletic claimed it could be up to eight weeks. Ten Hag, the coach of United, is facing a shortage of full-backs, with Wan-Bissaka’s injury adding to the absence of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Fortunately, United already signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham. He, along with Diogo Dalot, are the club’s only natural full-back options at the moment.
Moreover: Manchester United’s poor start to the season has been compounded by an injury crisis affecting multiple areas of their squad. Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat, and Raphael Varane are all sidelined, while Rasmus Hojlund has recently returned from a back injury. In addition, Antony is currently unavailable due to serious allegations in Brazil, and Jadon Sancho has created controversy by voicing his dissatisfaction with the manager on social media.
United starts their Champions League journey against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
