Harry Kane: Tottenham have buy-back clause to re-sign former striker from Bayern Munich, says chairman Daniel Levy

Harry Kane transferred from Tottenham to Bayern Munich in a deal worth up to £100m. Daniel Levy has confirmed that Spurs have an option to buy back the England captain. Kane did not rule out a return to Spurs when he left the club in August.

Tottenham has the option to bring Harry Kane back from Bayern Munich.

Kane joined the German club for 100 million pounds in the summer transfer window, as Spurs didn’t want to risk losing the England captain for free next summer.

Daniel Levy faced criticism from Tottenham fans for allowing Harry Kane to leave. During a recent fans’ forum, Levy was asked if the club had a buy-back option for the England striker.

Levy said, “Yes.” He did not provide more information about the buy-back option.

Kane hinted at the possibility of returning to Tottenham in the future after announcing his departure from the club in August.

“It’s not a goodbye as you never know how things pan out in the future,” he said. “It [this farewell message] is a thank you and I will see you soon.”

Kane has been in excellent form for Bayern. He has scored four goals in his first four matches with the Bundesliga champions.

The forward is playing his first game in the Champions League for Bayern against Manchester United at the Allianz Arena. United was one of the teams interested in signing Kane earlier this summer.
