Police searching for three men over break-in at Sterling’s home

The break-in at Raheem Sterling’s home in Oxshott, Leatherhead, not only caused significant financial loss but also deeply impacted the footballer and his family. The incident occurred during the World Cup in Qatar, and Sterling had to abruptly leave the tournament to be with his loved ones. The burglary was reported to the police on December 3, and since then, authorities have been actively searching for three individuals believed to be connected to the crime.

The suspects in question, Alfred Isufi (48), Gerard Kalaja (22), and Henri Osmani (44), who are believed to be Albanian nationals, are currently being sought for questioning in connection with a spate of burglaries across multiple regions, including Surrey, Essex, Kent, and Hertfordshire. The investigating team from Surrey Police, led by Detective Inspector James Ansell, is determined to track down these individuals. Ansell emphasized that investigating burglary dwellings is a top priority for the police force, and they will be relentless in their pursuit of these offenders.

The total value of the items stolen during the series of incidents is estimated to be around £1 million. This staggering figure highlights the seriousness of the crimes committed. Such acts not only cause financial harm but also impose emotional distress on the victims. It’s distressing to know that Sterling and his family had to endure this violation of their personal space during what should have been a joyous time of international competition.

However, progress has been made in the investigation. A trial date has been set for a 23-year-old man named Emiliano Krosi, who has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in relation to the break-in at Sterling’s home. Krosi, residing in Southend-on-Sea, appeared at Guildford Crown Court to face 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary. The case is scheduled for a plea hearing on November 3, with the trial itself set to start on February 14, 2024, lasting two weeks.

The justice system is actively working to hold those responsible accountable for their actions. Hopefully, the diligent efforts of the authorities will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the remaining suspects, helping bring closure to Raheem Sterling and the other victims affected by these burglaries. Crimes such as these serve as a reminder of the importance of home security and the need to support and prioritize the well-being of those who have experienced such traumas.
