Bruno Saltor has left Chelsea. He was supposed to work with manager Mauricio Pochettino, but it didn’t last very long. This season, Chelsea is off to a bad start, their worst since 1978.
Chelsea’s coach Bruno Saltor has left the club as part of a staff reshuffle led by Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino has not decided if he will bring in a new replacement.
Chelsea have had their worst start to a season since 1978.
Saltor joined Stamford Bridge as part of Graham Potter’s coaching staff, and he took charge of Chelsea temporarily when Potter was sacked after 31 matches in charge.
Potter and Saltor collaborated at Brighton, where Saltor served as a youth development coach.
Chelsea’s agreement with Saltor has come to an end, and he has left the team, according to Sky Sports News. The club decided to terminate his contract two years early.
Pochettino urged his players to mature after the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, which gave them their worst start in the top division in 45 years.
Pochettino will be missing his main striker Nicolas Jackson and Malo Gusto due to suspensions. Jackson received his fifth yellow card in the Premier League, which means he will be unavailable for the next match. Gusto, on the other hand, was shown a red card and will also be absent.
The team has not scored in three consecutive games. This bad streak puts them in 14th place in the Premier League. With only five points from six games so far, it is their worst start to a season since 1978.
“We need to grow up as a team, not only in an individual way,” Pochettino said. “A player like Nicolas is so young and is feeling his way into the Premier League and learning.
“He needs time, and in this type of game we are competing and want to win. But the players, when they are young, need to learn with experience and when they make a mistake.
“That is why we feel disappointed because we are paying too many situations like this. Things like this is another small detail and, in the end, we are losing the game. We are in a situation we need to change as soon as possible.”
