Following this incident, VAR Darren England and assistant VAR Dan Cook have withdrawn from their upcoming matches.

The score at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was 0-0 at the time, with Liverpool down to 10 players after Curtis Jones’ red card.
In the match against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur scored the first goal through Heung-Min Son, just two minutes after the game started. However, Joel Matip’s own goal in injury time gave Tottenham a 2-1 victory.
England and Dan Cook, the assistant VAR for the Tottenham vs Liverpool match, will not be officiating their next matches as confirmed by PGMOL on Sunday morning.
England was supposed to be part of the officiating team at the City Ground on Sunday for Nottingham Forest’s game against Brentford, but he has been replaced by Craig Pawson.
Cook was originally slated to participate in the match between Fulham and Chelsea, but he has been replaced by Eddie Smart.
