Paul Pogba: Juventus midfielder tests positive again in counter-analysis tests

Paul Pogba, a former player for Manchester United, is currently facing a suspension for an alleged anti-doping violation. If found guilty, he could be suspended for up to four years. Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United last summer and has played in eight Serie A matches so far.

Paul Pogba tested positive again in a second sample after his anti-doping violation.

The former Manchester United player was temporarily banned on September 11 this year for violating anti-doping regulations.

Paul Pogba, the French International, was found to have tested positive for testosterone during a routine drug test after a match between Juventus and Udinese in Serie A.

Pogba could be suspended for up to four years after the counter-analysis showed positive results.

Pogba was suspended by Italy’s anti-doping tribunal after he tested positive in September.

When that first adverse sample came back positive, a statement issued to Sky Sports News from Pogba’s representative Rafaela Pimenta said: “We are waiting for the counter-analysis and until then we can’t say anything.

“The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”

The player has had many injuries since coming back to Juventus from Manchester United. This is more bad news for him.

He couldn’t play in the World Cup final for France last year because of a knee injury. He only participated in six Serie A matches for Juventus last season.

Pogba hasn’t started any games this season but has come on as a substitute twice. His last appearance was in the 2-0 victory against Empoli.

There is an ongoing police investigation in France regarding allegations of extortion targeting Pogba, including involvement from his older brother, Mathias, who denies any wrongdoing.

Juventus has faced difficulties this season, including investigations into their financial practices and being excluded from European competition by UEFA.
