Erik ten Hag was missing eight players during the match against Luton Town. Furthermore, due to injuries, Rasmus Hojlund will not be able to participate in the upcoming Denmark squad matches against Slovenia and Northern Ireland. These matches are important, as they could secure Denmark’s spot in Euro 2024.
Manchester United players Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have been removed from the Denmark team because of injuries.
Both players were substituted early in Saturday’s match against Luton. Manager Erik ten Hag had to do without eight key players in the Premier League win at Old Trafford.
Hojlund, the striker who cost £72m, got injured at the end of the game with a muscle problem. Eriksen, the midfielder, also got injured in the first half with a knee injury.
United has confirmed that Eriksen will be out for a month. The club is confident that Hojlund will be able to make a return before the end of November.
Man Utd is missing several players due to injuries, including Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Jonny Evans, and Amad Diallo.
Jadon Sancho is currently not playing due to a disciplinary problem, while Aaron-Wan Bissaka, who recently recovered from an injury, was absent from Saturday’s match due to illness.
Asked on Saturday about the injury to Hojlund, United’s top scorer this season, Ten Hag said: “In this moment I can’t say anything about it [Højlund’s injury] because I don’t know.
“We do an assessment but have to wait for 24 hours to see what the conclusion is. Give them, the medical [team], 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem.”
United’s next match will be on November 26th when they visit Everton in the league after the international break.
