Luton Town fined £120,000 by FA for homophobic chanting during 4-1 loss to Brighton

Premier League newcomers Luton Town have unfortunately found themselves in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, as they have been handed a significant FA fine for homophobic chanting that took place during their match against Brighton in August.

The Commission found that the club had failed to ensure that their spectators and supporters conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and refrain from using improper, offensive, abusive, indecent or insulting language or behavior with reference to sexual orientation.

Luton Town, upon being charged by the FA, promptly responded and condemned the homophobic chanting that occurred.
