Premier League clubs regularly scouting Man Utd loanee Mason Greenwood and were in attendance at Getafe to see striker score wondergoal against Almeria

Mason Greenwood’s loan move to Getafe has sparked interest from several English teams, who have been closely monitoring his performances in La Liga. Since joining Getafe, Greenwood has made a bright start to his Premier League career, impressing with two goals and three assists in his first 10 matches.

According to a report by AS, scouts from various English top-flight clubs have been regularly attending Getafe matches to watch Greenwood in action. They were particularly present when he scored arguably the best goal of his career in their recent 2-1 victory over Almeria.

However, the possibility of bringing Greenwood back to the Premier League remains a sensitive topic for English clubs. After his arrest on suspicion of various charges including attempted rape, assault, and coercive control, Manchester United decided to send him on loan to Getafe in response to pressure from both fans and staff. It is worth noting, though, that all charges against Greenwood were eventually dropped.

In recent weeks, Greenwood has established himself as a regular in Getafe’s first-team squad. Initially eased into the team as a substitute in his first two matches, the young winger has now started seven of the 10 league games he has played for the Madrid-based club.

Greenwood will have another opportunity to showcase his abilities to the Premier League scouts when Getafe take on Las Palmas in their upcoming La Liga encounter on Friday. Currently sitting in eighth position in the Spanish top-flight, Getafe has been in impressive form, having not suffered a defeat since late-September.

With his promising performances and growing influence at Getafe, it will be interesting to see if any English clubs decide to bring Greenwood back to the Premier League after his loan spell. Only time will tell if he can continue to thrive at the highest level of English football.
