Carlo Ancelotti now without eight players as Dani Carvajal ruled out for a month with calf problem

Real Madrid’s injury woes continue to mount as they face the absence of Dani Carvajal. The Spanish right back sustained a muscle injury during the match against Granada and had to be replaced at half-time. Carlo Ancelotti made a tactical substitution, bringing Lucas Vazquez into the right-back position.

Following medical tests conducted by the Real Madrid Medical Services, it was confirmed that Carvajal has suffered an injury to the soleus muscle in his left leg. According to ESPN, the defender is expected to be out of action for at least a month, adding to the growing list of injured players at the club.

The official club statement on Carvajal’s injury stated, “After the tests carried out on our player Dani Carvajal by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the soleus muscle in his left leg. Evolution pending.” This news comes as a blow to the team, as Carvajal’s experience and defensive prowess will be missed on the pitch.

Currently, Real Madrid finds themselves grappling with multiple injuries. Along with Carvajal, the club is also without key players such as Luka Modric, Vinicius Jr., and Eder Militao. It is always challenging for a team to cope with the absence of influential figures, but they must find ways to adapt and adjust their strategies until their star players return to full fitness.

On a positive note, midfielder Jude Bellingham, who had previously suffered a shoulder injury ahead of the international break in November, has now recovered and was able to participate in the weekend’s match. His return to the pitch provides a glimmer of hope for Real Madrid as they navigate the challenges posed by their growing injury list.

Despite these setbacks, Carlo Ancelotti’s side remains determined to maintain their momentum in the league. Currently tied on points with Girona at the top of the table, Real Madrid will be looking to continue their winning streak when they face Real Betis in their upcoming La Liga encounter on Saturday. They will need to dig deep and capitalize on the collective strength of the squad to secure crucial victories during this challenging period.
