Mason Mount is getting better from his injury and has started training with Manchester United again.

Erik ten Hag received a positive boost on Wednesday as midfielder Mason Mount made a welcome return to training with Manchester United. Mount, who had been sidelined due to an injury, last featured for the Red Devils in a substitute appearance against Luton on November 11. The 24-year-old’s return to the training pitch was confirmed by United, marking a crucial step in his recovery process.

Sharing an image of himself in training, Mount expressed his enthusiasm in an Instagram post, saying: “Hope you had a great Christmas Reds, can’t wait to be back out there with the lads!” This upbeat message undoubtedly provides a morale boost for both the player and the team.

For manager Ten Hag, Mount’s return is certainly welcome news, especially considering the challenges posed by the absence of key players due to injuries throughout the season. The imminent return of Red Devils stars Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez in January is also anticipated, providing a glimmer of hope for a more robust squad.

Looking ahead, Mount will continue his recovery in the upcoming days, with the possibility of Ten Hag providing further updates on his fitness during a scheduled press conference on Friday. While it is unlikely that Mount will be included in the squad for Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest, his progress signifies a step in the right direction for his eventual return to action with the team.
