Marcus Rashford Receives 6-Month Driving Ban for Speeding in Rolls-Royce

Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker, has found himself in the headlines once again due to his recent six-month driving ban imposed for speeding in his luxurious Rolls-Royce. The 26-year-old was reportedly caught driving at 104mph on the M60 in Manchester in December last year. The court has confirmed the ban and additionally fined Rashford £1,666, along with £120 in court costs and a £66 surcharge. This development comes in the wake of a challenging season for Rashford, during which he only managed to score eight goals.

This incident follows closely on the heels of a previous mishap involving a different Rolls-Royce, valued at £700,000, which Rashford crashed after departing from the club’s Carrington training ground. Though no ambulance was required following the collision with another vehicle, the circumstances surrounding his driving behavior have drawn attention.

It’s worth noting that Rashford, known for his impressive performance on the pitch, wasn’t selected for England’s Euro 2024 squad, despite his substantial weekly earnings estimated at around £300,000. Furthermore, his extensive car collection including a McLaren 765LT and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante will now be confined to the garage until January.

Having experienced a challenging season, Rashford expressed his desire to take a mental reset after being left out of the England squad earlier this summer. He openly conveyed his decision to take a break from social media in order to “rest and reset” as he addressed his followers on X.
