𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Barcelona have permanently signed Mamadou Fall ‘Mbacke’ from Los Angeles FC

Barcelona have secured the permanent signing of Senegalese defender Mamadou Fall from Los Angeles FC. The 21-year-old centre-back joined Barcelona B on loan from the MLS side last season before completing a permanent move to the club ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Fall has signed a two-year deal, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2026, with the option of extending his contract for two more years.

Despite being sidelined due to an ankle injury for almost half of last season, Fall made a significant impact, featuring in 22 matches for the reserves side of the Catalan giants. During this time, he demonstrated his skill by scoring twice and contributing with one assist.

The official statement from FC Barcelona on Fall’s arrival emphasized the agreement with Los Angeles FC for the transfer of Mamadou Mbacke Fall, highlighting his previous loan spell at Barca Atletic from the American team. The club also mentioned that the official act of signing the contract will be pending.

The official statement from the Blaugrana on Fall’s arrival read: “FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Los Angeles FC for the transfer of player Mamadou Mbacke Fall, who will sign a contract for two seasons, until June 30, 2026, with the option of extending [his contract] for two more years.

“The Senegalese central defender already played last season at Barca Atletic on loan from the American team. The official act of signing the contract will be pending.”

Hansi Flick and his team are currently in the United States for pre-season and are gearing up to face reigning English champions Manchester City in their first friendly on July 30. This presents an exciting opportunity for Fall to integrate himself further into the squad and showcase his abilities on a prominent stage.
