Atletico Madrid’s Transfer Deals with Conor Gallagher, Samu Omorodion, and Julian Alvarez: Latest Updates

Conor Gallagher is set to make a significant move to Madrid, where he has been granted permission to undergo a medical examination later this week. The talented midfielder is expected to sign a lucrative five-year contract with Atletico Madrid. This move comes as Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are reportedly close to finalizing deals for both Conor Gallagher and Samu Omorodion, with a newly agreed fee of £38m (€42m) for each player, according to Sky Sports News.

Atletico Madrid has also successfully negotiated personal terms with Julian Alvarez, whose £82m signing from Manchester City is crucial to all the transfers involved. The completion of Atletico’s deal to sign striker Samu Omorodion hinges on securing a replacement, setting the stage for a series of interconnected transfers.

Samu Omorodion, who impressively scored eight goals in 35 LaLiga appearances last season while on loan at Deportivo Alaves, is a sought-after talent. Chelsea had previously accepted a deal in the region of £34m from Atletico Madrid after failing to reach an agreement with Gallagher over new contract terms to retain him at Stamford Bridge. Despite interest from other top Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and Tottenham, Gallagher ultimately made the decision to join Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have reached a significant agreement for the transfer of Julian Alvarez, with a deal worth up to £82m (€95m). The negotiation has been progressing well, with Atletico agreeing to pay £64m up front (€75m) and the remaining amount in add-ons. This high-profile transfer represents a substantial profit on the initial £14m investment that Manchester City made to secure the services of the talented Argentine forward from River Plate in January 2022.
