Goncalo Ramos’ Injury: PSG Striker Faces Weeks Out, Manager Luis Enrique Concerned

Luis Enrique has expressed his concern over Goncalo Ramos’ injury, emphasizing the severity of the situation as the striker could be facing weeks on the sidelines. The distressing incident occurred during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 opener against Le Havre when Ramos was brought down by a mistimed tackle from behind. The Portuguese forward was visibly in pain as he limped off the pitch in the 20th minute, prompting Randal Kolo Muani to replace him.

Despite the setback, PSG rallied to secure a convincing 4-1 victory, with goals contributed by Lee Kang-in, Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, and Kolo Muani. However, the triumph was overshadowed by the worrying news regarding Ramos’ condition, leading manager Luis Enrique to address the issue with reporters post-match.

Enrique’s somber tone reflected the gravity of the situation as he disclosed, “I’m not a doctor but I think it looks pretty serious. I don’t know how many weeks he will be out injured but it’s serious.” Reports have suggested that Ramos sustained an ankle injury, and he was later seen leaving the stadium wearing a protective boot.

Looking ahead, Paris Saint-Germain will face Montpellier in Ligue 1 on August 23, but it is anticipated that Ramos will be unavailable for selection. The club and its fans will undoubtedly be hoping for a swift recovery for the talented striker, as his absence will undoubtedly be felt on the field.
