Real Madrid have reportedly made signing Man City midfielder Rodri one of their top priorities for the upcoming summer transfer window. According to Spanish outlet AS, the Spain international has a contract with the Premier League champions until 2027 and is valued at around £109m by transfermarkt.
This potential transfer comes on the heels of Real Madrid’s successful addition of Kylian Mbappe to their Champions League-winning squad over the summer, a year after signing Jude Bellingham in a highly regarded deal. Rodri, who joined Man City from Atletico Madrid for €70 million (£63m / US$79m) in July 2019, has since established himself as arguably the best defensive midfielder in the world and has become a key part of the success under Pep Guardiola.
