Mauricio Pochettino, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, has received the prestigious appointment as the head coach of the USA men’s national team. Following his departure from Chelsea by mutual consent at the end of the last season, Pochettino is set to take on his first international role at the age of 52. Pochettino’s inaugural match at the helm of the USA team is scheduled to be a home friendly against Panama in Austin, Texas on October 12, followed by an away friendly in Mexico three days later.
