Enzo Fernandez Banned from Driving: Chelsea Midfielder Hit with 6-Month Driving Ban and Fines

Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez has been banned from driving for six months and fined.

According to a report by Sky Sports, the Llanelli Magistrates Court in Carmarthenshire has disqualified the World Cup-winning midfielder from driving for six months due to two driving offences. In the first case, the player was found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a Porsche Cayenne on December 27, 2024. The second case involved failing to identify the driver of a vehicle on January 24, 2025.

In addition to the driving ban, Enzo Fernandez has been fined £1,000 for each offence and will also have to pay £110 to both the Dyfed-Powys Police and South Wales Police. A surcharge of £800 has also has been imposed on him for the offences, making the total amount of the fine £3,020. The player was not present in the court when his case was heard.

As a result of these offences, he received 12 penalty points, and with prior points already on his license, the judge handed him a six-month driving ban starting Wednesday, September 11. This will have implications on his personal and professional life, especially as he makes a return to club football with Chelsea, who are scheduled to play against Bournemouth away from home on Saturday night following the end of the international break.
