Marquinhos Makes Ligue 1 History with 10 Seasons of Goals

Marquinhos, aged 30, scored his inaugural goal of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season during PSG’s emphatic 4-1 win over Lille OSC at the Parc des Princes. This goal not only adds to his tally but also marks a tremendous milestone in the club’s history, as he has become the first player to score in 10 separate seasons of Ligue 1. This remarkable feat surpasses the previous record of nine seasons, which was held by the Algerian midfielder Mustapha Dahleb, a testament to Marquinhos’ enduring presence and talent in French football.

Since his arrival at Les Parisiens prior to the start of the 2013-14 season, Marquinhos has showcased remarkable consistency, finding the net in every Ligue 1 campaign except for two, specifically in 2017-18. His record is especially impressive considering that he did not score during his tenures at AS Roma or Corinthians, where he played a single domestic season in each country before joining the French capital.
