Antony denies allegations of assault made by Rayssa de Freitas, who claims she required hospital treatment. Man Utd is taking previous allegations of domestic abuse seriously.
Antony from Manchester United appeared on Brazilian TV to deny assault allegations.
Antony was dropped by Brazil due to allegations made by his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavalin.
Rayssa de Freitas alleges that she was assaulted by Antony and another woman in May 2022, resulting in her needing hospital treatment.
Antony denied the allegations on the SBT network and expressed confidence that the truth will prevail.
When asked if he had assaulted any woman, Antony said: “Never. I never have and I never will.”
He added: “[Violence towards women] is totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong.
“I have a mother, a sister. I would never want this to happen to them.”
De Freitas reported the alleged incident to the Sao Paulo Civil Police.
In a television interview, Ingrid Lana alleged that she was coerced into having sexual relations by Antony during a business trip to England.
Lana claimed Antony had invited her to his house and forcefully pushed her against a wall, resulting in her hitting her head.
“He tried to have a relationship with me and I didn’t want to,” Lana claimed in the interview.
“He pushed me against the wall and I hit my head. My purpose was just business. Arriving there at his invitation, I realised he had ulterior motives.”
Asked about Lana’s accusation, Antony said in the interview on Friday: “Negative. I’m 100 per cent certain that I never touched any woman. 100 per cent. I am certain.
“I will produce the proof and people will understand. They will see the truth.”
Manchester United has chosen not to comment on the latest allegations made against them. The club had previously mentioned that they were taking the initial allegations seriously. Greater Manchester Police are currently investigating the claims made by the ex-girlfriend.
